Hi Paul, My colleague is having issues subscribing to the TZ database. He keeps getting a "Forbidden" error message when registering. Amsterdam timezone prior to 1937 incorrect?

Hi, Between 2022a an b the timezone info for Europe/Amstedam is removed: Z Europe/Amsterdam 0:19:32 - LMT 1835 The timezone info for Brussels around that date differs from Amsterdams timezone info. Determining the timezone information for dates around that period on my Linux system in python returns since the latest update an offset of 0 minutes as opposed to the 19 minutes previously. Is the removal for this timezone information intentional or a bug? Regards, Loek

Regardless, if this issue is a real problem for you then it's time to file a bug report with Oracle (you can tell them I sent you :-). And in the meantime you can get by with 'zic -b fat'.

No time zone on Solaris servers

Hi list, We downloaded tzdb2022c and compiled it on a Solaris 10 server with TOPDIR=/newtz and other default config parameters. After compiling is finished, the zoneinfo directory is copied to an other Solaris server, then the date command does not show any time zone on the host. It seems the server is at UTC time zone.
