Dear Sir, I am sending here a patch to the southamerica zoneinfo file regarding the last brazilian decree on the subject - 4844 - from 2003-09-24 which deals with the 2003/2004 summer period. Two new zones had to be created because of different states having summer time in Brazil in this period: America/Salvador and America/Campo_Grande. Please include it in your data. Hi! Brazilian government changed the DST rules again! I'm attaching a patch for southamerica timezone. The changes are: . DST start postponed 1 week. . States BA, MT and TO are now out of the DST. What I did: . Changed "Brazil" rules . Changed "Araguaiana" timezone . Changed "Cuiaba" timezone . Added "Campo Grande" timezone since now MT and MS have different timezones . Once again, our government decided to arbitrarily change the day DST begins. This year, it begins on the third sunday of october (the 19th), and ends in the third sunday of february, as usual. It seems the day it ends is much more stable than the day it begins, for some reason. Also, more states were left out of DST this year. Where is the TZ archive

Hi, I have noticed that I have not received any email update about TZ changes for a while but have not paid much attention until I ran into a problem with Brazilian time zone changes for 2002 and 2003. After looking at the web for sometime I realize that the archive might have gone forever. The TZ archive has been very valuable to my work, I want to thank all the people who were diligently keeping the archive up to date. I'm very curious as to what happened to the emails and If you have any information for the where about of the archive or any other useful sites, please let me know. Regards, Ren Wong
