Istanbul fix for 1986-2006

Hi! I've been looking at DST rules of Turkey, and I run into a few issues. 1) For 1986-2006, DST started at 01:00 local and ended at 02:00 local, with no exceptions. 2) 1994's lastSun was overridden with Mar 20, which was not reflected. Backward compatibility of tzfile?

Hi, Is the intent that successive versions of the tzfile format will be compatible with older implementations of localtime.c, date.c, etc.? Obviously they wouldn’t be able to take advantage of any new information, but is the idea they’ll still be able to read it? I wasn’t able to find anything in the man pages about this. Thanks, Debbie
