The current Makefile contains a bug here: https://github.com/eggert/tz/blob/master/Makefile#L303 TZDSRCS= zdump.c localtime.c ialloc.c asctime.o TZDOBJS= zdump.o localtime.o ialloc.o asctime.c TZDSRCS should contain asctime.c and TZDOBJS should contain asctime.o. Brazil government issued a decision that excludes the Tocantins from DST. (translation from Portuguese) It was published in extra edition of the Official Gazette on Monday, September 30 2013, confirmed the exclusion of Tocantins DST in 2013/2014, Decree No. 6558, in Article 2, that "summer time will be in force in the following states : Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and the Federal District. localtime.c defines 'timezone' as a time_t. glibc (which doesn't use tzcode) and bionic (which does) currently declare 'timezone' as a long int. POSIX also says 'long'. the mismatch causes trouble on x32. --elliott
