Vietnam: Saigon is deprecated, should use capital Hanoi

Hello Arthur and tzdata team, we just got this tzdata bug in Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tzdata/+bug/121540 which points out that "Saigon" has been renamed to "Ho Chi Minh" a long time ago. The comment in the asia file already mentions that: # Saigon's official name is Thanh-Pho Ho Chi Minh, but it's too long. # We'll stick with the traditional name for now. A nice solution to avoid obsolete names, retain a short name, and even get more consistent is to use "Hanoi", which is the actual capital of Vietnam (and is the very same TZ). Then Saigon could just be an alias (i. e. transitional symlink) to Hanoi. What do you think about that? To Whom it may Concern, I would like to review your time zone data for possible use in Garmin GPS devices. Can you tell me if you have polygon data for the time zones across the world? DST and cross-border Southern Cross campus (Queensland-NSW border)

Southern Cross University is planning Australia's first cross-border campus, and one of the technical challenges they're facing is that Queensland does not observe DST but New South Wales does. They haven't figured out yet how to schedule classes across the daylight-saving boundary. Classes are scheduled to start 2009. Hi, Here is a .NET library that I think should be linked to at the main page http://www.twinsun.com/tz/tz-link.htm The link: http://www.babiej.demon.nl/Tz4Net/main.htm This is how they defined themselves: C# /.NET implementation of timezone class based on Olson database (often called tz or zoneinfo).
