As we start developing our outreach strategy, one option we’re considering is leveraging the Computer Societies of the world. And by Computer Societies I meet membership organisations aimed at the computer professional generally or the CIO or Software community specifically. I’ve created a table at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1t81pnBJVseQQ7lGMrxhdMr4jzLPXNkORVRN… I would appreciate it if you could have a look and either let me know or make the edits yourself of other Computer Societies that you know of or that you are a member. The table I’ve created so far is below and at the link above. I would like to get this mostly settled by the end of this month. Thanks. good changes in google chrome

In order to whitelist IDNs in Chrome one had to add languages in it's preferences. So, for example, if one added Chinese in Chrome preferences then a Chinese IDN would display as Chinese in the browser address bar rather than punycode i.e. it is whitelisted by adding the language in preferences. This has changed for the better. IDNs will now, by default and without user action, display as Unicode instead of punycode. I have not tested every language but so far in my testing IDNs are displayed in Unicode. I have tested using OSX Chrome. In order to test I removed all languages (except English) from my Chrome preferences. I consider this significant forward progress in UA for IDNs. Particularly, we’ve created another test case for the ‘open dot’ “。” character that is sometimes used instead of the traditional ‘.’ Our documentation indicates that we expect applications to convert these ‘open dots’ to normal ‘.’ dots. We are still having some discussions around the Right-to-left scripts, mostly because copy/paste sometimes appears to do some transformations. Your thoughts are welcome on both topics, or others.
