Please find attached documents for final comments before we publish: 04a – A review of popular browsers for UA Readiness – Spoiler alert – most are OK, but few handle the open dot or IDNs as we expect them to. Some browser developers may see this as a feature and not a bug. 04c – a look at the issues that have been raised through our UA Complaints process and their resolution. Short answer, not too many raised and even fewer resolved by the website developer 04d – A look at Websites and how UA Ready they are. Good news – 7% accepted all names and just 7% accepted none of our sample set. With our constant push and various initiatives, Government of India announces EAI for every govt employee, by anniuncing a 5 million mailbox setup. News Article : http://m.indiatoday.in/story/govt-announces-email-service-for-officials-in-… This news also refers to our Rajasthan state govt initiative to provide EAI to every citizen. Rajasthan has 75 million population ans every citizen and take ID through मेल.राजस्थान.भारत or mail.rajasthan.on This is huge step forward in the world of EAI and adoption of IDN at this scale. UASG CIO Targeted Outreach

Dear all: The UASG Comms working group has many projects on the go. We are working to get guest editorials published in Association newsletters, promoting media coverage of published report, producing blog posts on our website, raising issues within LinkedIn community, and more. One project is to directly targeting CIOs. This builds on the success that Ram Mohan often talks about when .info first started and he sent physical letters to CIOs – who had previously ignored emails. It worked because receiving something in the post is so unusual that they paid attention. We want to pilot a similar approach. We’ll be testing letter content, measurements of engagement, and delivery channel. Our first pilot group is the Fortune 400-500 companies. A list is available at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CBeyViVJs-ZZaT5KF3NY_bJiwy_iD_GjCWf… If you know someone in our target audience who works for one of these companies, can you please either update the spreadsheet indicating that you know them or send me (off list) an introduction. A UA Success Story

For years, I’ve been a subscriber to Microsoft’s Office 365 software service. Recently I got invited to a full-day training session on how to use the product. So, I registered with my toa(a)xn--ngpukapuka-vfb.nz address – fully expecting to be rejected just like every other form I use. But, the address was ACCEPTED and I got a confirmation email (automated I’m sure). IDNs can and do work in the real world. Well done to the operational parts of Microsoft. A success that I thought worth sharing. Don
