Fellowship program could benefit from our help

Hi everyone, it was great to see many of you in person at ICANN60. I am following up on my session suggestion - is it within our scope to work together with Fellowship program? If yes, I think some of the following might be of help: - secure personal data handling and storage - adding encryption possibility (generate key, encrypt if requested) - alternative means of communication that would be inclusive towards FOSS people joining the force: a bit about FB/Google/Whatsapp downsides and alternatives, perhaps trying out new things together - mailing list for new Fellows, why it is a better alternative to having a list of emails and how to manage a list I believe positive constructive outreach will be useful. o/ What do you think? Automatically uploading to the YouTube channel

Dear All, Following the discussions on various solutions on uploading videos to the YouTube channel, I think if only we would be able to put the video file in any local folder on a machine somewhere we can sync that folder with a cloud storage service like DropBox or something and then use an automation tool like IFTTT to automatically upload them to the YouTube channel. Am happy to edit Slide 7, 3rd bullet on Connectivity challenges to say: "Mobile users cannot see when someone has shared their screen in Adobe Connect, *and cannot use all pods (eg. cannot participate in polls during calls)*." Just a further note, the matter of AC issues might be better addressed under the " ICANN's Adobe Connect issues" agenda item which, you will note, also appears in Dev's draft agenda. Livestreamed an Adobe Connect session to YouTube

Dear All, In coming up with the issue of making Adobe Connect sessions more accessible (https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Technology+Issues) , I've livestreamed the NARALO call on Monday October 9 2017 at 1900 UTC by entering the Adobe Connect room and then recording and streaming my desktop using OBS Studio https://obsproject.com/ You can watch the NARALO Monday October 9 2017 at 1900 UTC call on YouTube at https://youtu.be/8tV5yALgI8A Its been pointed out that I need to mute system sounds as the recording captured the Skype notifications happening offscreen but it did seem to work out ok. So the approach for getting Adobe Connect recordings on YouTube could be - ICANN staff person enters the AC room of the meeting, - stream their desktop showing the AC room to YouTube at start of meeting - stops the stream when the meeting ends. instead of - after meeting, ICANN staff person logs into Adobe Connect - playbacks the meeting again to download the FLV file to their computer (so a 1 hour call will require 1 hour to "download" the FLV file) - uploads the FLV file to YouTube Dev Anand

Adobe Connect Desktop applications for Windows and MacOS released

As part of the updates for Adobe Connect 9.7, Adobe has released the desktop applications for Adobe Connect for Windows and Mac, bypassing the need to use the browser (and the need for Flash) to connect to Adobe Connect rooms.
