Dear All, Thanks to all for participating in the TTF session in Dublin, there were lots of interaction with the persons in the room in Dublin. Several more persons have joined the list (not sure if Staff have added them yet) One of the ideas I wanted to present fully but didn't have time is the idea of tracking Technology issues for raising with ICANN Staff. These are technology issues/problems that the At-Large Community has when trying to participate in At-Large and ICANN activities. Feedback on ICANN54 Meeting app

Hi all, Dublin was my first ICANN meeting and the new meeting app really helped me in trying to figure out what was going on. Hopefully a few of you noticed me (generally at the back) of some of the At Large related meetings. Regarding the app I installed the Android version on both my mobile & tablet. It worked very well in general, but I'd make a few suggestions: 1. Maybe some form of auto-update preference as I seemed to be clicking on the red update now dot pretty frequently. 2. As I was using two devices it would have been really handy to have synchronisation of information between them. For example I updated my profile information on one device but that wasn't shared and the personal schedules were totally different between the two devices. 3. The ability to add sessions/my whole personal schedule to the native calendar (i.e. Google calendar for my Andriod devices) would be great. As it was my nightly ritual was to go through both device's personal schedules and the add the sessions of interest via the main ICANN meeting website and the add to calendar functionality found there. I reached out to ICANN’s team to get some of the numbers from this week’s meeting: 2395 attendees 2426 devices connected to the network at peak 49.8 TB Down / 39.5 TB Up – bandwidth consumed 7 tons of physical equipment 380 Microphones 450 International power strips 2700 Outlets 6.5km of cabling 5km of tape 90 Wireless access points 36 VoIP phones 16 printers 16 remote cameras 50 laptops 55 Mac minis for remote participation services ICANN meeting attendees are very international and the languages team does an amazing job of doing simultaneous interpretation. This time round they dealt with: English 258 hours Spanish 89 hours French 76 hours Arabic 67 hours Russian 64 hours Portuguese 59 hours Chinese 59 hours For some reason we seem to all be Apple fans, at least judging by the breakdown of operating systems that connected to the network: Apple 62% Android 23% Windows 15%"

Improving translations

As mentioned in the meeting, there was a comment(*) from outreach during this meeting, which seems valuable enought to be considered. Begin quote of Kristian Köhntopp Booking uses the Google Translate API to semi-automatically translate hotel rooms and their descriptions: The automatic translation is presented to a trained native speaker who corrects and approves them. The result is used once by Booking itself and on the other hand entered back into Translate as a feedback. The translation quality of machine translations was improved considerably this way. I think, if somebody would set up such a feedback for these mailing lists, the specific interface in Translate would significantly improve quickly and common, incorrectly translated phrases would be learned. The technical details of the solution are not known to me, I only know the Management Level Overview. Try http://meetingapp.icann.org/icann54 for iOS it will prompt for you to download the app and I imagine on Android, it would do the same (Android users please confirm) The url will work for viewing the mobile site on a desktop or mobile browser. Dev Anand

Hi Folks I spoke a staff person in Montreal today who expressed interest in presenting to the TTF on the TORPROJECT and I spoke with Dev on this topic and I know we have had some discussion on these type of products.
