Dear All, Thanks to all that attended the At-Large Technology Taskforce (TTF) session on Monday June 22 2015 at ICANN 53 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The TTF agenda page at https://community.icann.org/x/V5o0Aw has a link to the slides presented at that session. It was well attended by many persons from ICANN who participated in the discussions: Ashwin Rangan, Chris Gift, Laura Bengford, Jef Salem, Josh Baulch, Samuel Suth, Josh Jenkins. Many thanks to them also. Just to note some of the AIs from the meeting - Judith, Glenn and Dev and staff to work on a message for Outreach for AC/SOs to join the Task Force - add Jimmy Schulz from EURALO to the TTF list - post TTF AI : add Tracey Hackshaw (GAC) and Tracey Hinds (GAC Secretariat) to the TTF list

".....The Web Accessibility Initiative created some Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) targeted at us, web content developers, to create more accessible websites. The WCAG contain some very useful information, and so I decided to condense the very extensive guidelines and highlight some practical examples of what we can do to implement them and make our websites more accessible." How to Transcribe Video Files to Text with YouTube

The Digital Inspiration blog outlines a method of uploading audio and video to YouTube and get a transcript in multiple languages (Google transcribes the audio to text and does machine translation of that text to other languages Yes, its not perfect (hence the need for Glenn's video captioning tools on a TTF call in January this year) , but might be interesting to try the audio from a call to see how well the machine captioning works.
