I think there's a problem. Timeanddate.com shows the June 29th transition at 1:00 AM rather than midnight. I think that's because the rule is defined as "0:00s" instead of "0:00". Or is that intentional here?

Yes, I intended to guess that, and I suspect they simply implemented the guess accurately. It would be better to have confirmation of the guess, though. A bit more searching in my part found the Egyptian State Information Service's announcement of cabinet approval here: http://www.sis.gov.eg/En/Templates/Articles/tmpArticleNews.aspx?ArtID=77571 but I'm afraid this doesn't tell us anything new. We still have no confirmation of the details we need to know, such as the time of transition on May 15 and the dates and times later this year.
Perhaps not, but if we are to guess - shouldn't we guess that the times will be the same as they were in 2010?

Sounds good in theory, but in practice 2010 was inconsistent. According to our data, most transitions were Thursday at 24:00 but one was Tuesday at 24:00. So, Thursday at 24:00 is a plausible guess but it's by no means a lock. Plus, our data say that in 2009 the rules were different yet: the spring-forward transition was Friday at 01:00. So it's plausible that this year the day-of-week or time will be different from 2010. More searching, by the way, has found one nonauthoritative English-language source asserting without support that the fallback date will be 2014-09-04 (I guessed 2014-09-25 24:00) and that the Ramadan break dates will be announced later but will be around 2014-06-29 - 2014-07-29 (we guessed 2014-06-29 01:00 - 2014-07-29 00:00). http://www.sharmwomen.com/wb/pages/egypt-switching-daytime-saving-time.php

The other big guess is the Ramadan start and end dates: those are tentatively set, but might change depending on the moon sight the evening before. However, I guess that there are no other options than to make a reasonably good guess.
