That "max" part means that it continues until further notice. So basically in any given year (in the range shown), there are two rules active: one transition in April and one in September. I would expect any established IANA database code to handle this with no problems. Here's the set of transitions generated by Noda Time, for America/Santiago between 2015 and 2030 for example: https://nodatime.org/tzvalidate/generate?version=2022g&zone=America/Santiago&startYear=2015&endYear=2030<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/nodatime.org/tzvalidate/generate?version=2022g&zone=America*Santiago&startYear=2015&endYear=2030__;Lw!!M7dyoZOwuwF45AU!1tJsYM5JYH9Sqe2ZiEMSOImKOGAs7_pg-gD_BFXzXma5pd_nj4Bqw4CJFB0_G6_10PPb0L3kM9BwoKc7$> On Thu, 9 Mar 2023 at 20:23, Jaime Suazo Vacca <Jaime.SuazoVacca@cat.com<mailto:Jaime.SuazoVacca@cat.com>> wrote: That is correct we are changing to utc -4 on April second But I don’t see that here. That has a currently-scheduled change to UTC-4 on April 2nd, according to the latest published version of the database (2022g). Please could you give more information if that's not correct?
