Info from: <URL:ftp://ftp.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/pub/doc/ISO/ISO-3166-background> Palestine (the "country" ruled by the Palestine National Authority, PNA) have the code PS/PSE *reserved* for it, but the code will not be *assigned* to it until the official recognizition of the state. However, it is safe to use it when designating this "country". As it seems that PNA have the relevant authority in matter of timezones, I think this is what we should use. The "name" of the "country" is still a problem. I suggest Palestine (as we do currently in the asia file), but this is not universaly accepted. May be adding some comments?

Hum... I was the author of the lines above, and I carefuly choose to write this way. There is some problems about the international recognition of France's claim over Terre Adelie. In France, the name is without any doubt "Terres australes et antarctiques francaises" (with a cedilla below the c in francaises; this is sometimes spelled "Terres Australes et Antarctiques Francaises", but I regard this as a minor spelling error, as capitals are not needed in French here). This can be translated to English as you do. However, the ISO 3166 text seems to say "French Southern Territories" (in the English version); I have not access to the official text, but this is what all the on-line versions say. As I understood, your information come from Shanks, but I bo not know what is its sources, and if they are more official. Do anyone have easy access to the text of ISO 3166 (BTW, a new version was published a year ago)? Also, in zone.tab, we list Dumont d'Urville base under the code AQ, and not under TF. This is reflecting the opposite position to the use of your name...
