Realmente es un honor recibir el apoyo que he tenido en la lista. Creo que Dev fue un excelente Secretariat y quisiera reafirmar mi voluntad de continuar junto a él.
De todos modos, me detengo en la propuesta de los 2 meses que efectuó Sergio y continuó Sylvia. Probablemente, si continuaramos en este plazo, podríamos cerrar con el objetivo central de la modificación de los Estatutos, considerando el mandato ampliado de la comisión.
Tengo fe que eso puede suceder. Y si consensuamos esto en la lista, no cabrían los problemas legales que tan bien nos recuerda Dev en su correo. Es decisión de LACRALO, y de esta lista.
De cualquier modo reafirmo mi intención de continuar y de poner este tema a la cabeza de las prioridades en el próximo término como Presidente, eventualmente.

Por todo trabajo desarrollado en esto periodo de tiempo desde la AG en el Summit de Mexico, no hay como no considerar y destacar el buen desempeño
y
esfuerzo empleados por los actuales dirigentes, Andres y Dev, por el cual los felicito.
Así en forma de reconocimiento los apoyo para continuar por un año más investidos en las respectivas funciones.

Pensaba que con la modificación de los Estatutos, se incluiría un año de continuidad mío y de Dev, hasta 2012. No se logró aún, estamos avanzados y en poco tiempo podremos.
La ley nos obliga a hacer este llamado, pero debo confirmar que estoy dispuesto a servir por un año más.

According to the LACRALO Operating Principles and the Rules of Procedure ( https://community.icann.org/display/LACRALO/LACRALO+Organising+Documents ) the term of the president of LACRALO and the secretariat of LACRALO is one year each.
The terms of the current LACRALO president and secretariat will end on April 14th, 2011 (see announcement from April 15th, 2010:
http://atlarge-lists.icann.org/pipermail/lac-discuss-en/2010/002631.html )
The current president is Andres Piazza from AGEIA DENSI, and is willing to serve another term.
The current secretariat is Dev Anand Teelucksingh from Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society and is willing to serve another term.
While there was agreement in the run-up to the elections in 2010 to having such officers serve for a two year term, the relevant Bylaw provisions have not yet been endorsed by the LACRALO membership.
Since these officers can only be elected by a LACRALO general assembly, it is the intention to have a virtual assembly if there is any other representative from an accredited ALS in LACRALO who wishes to stand for either
- the post of LACRALO president. or - the post of LACRALO secretariat.
These candidates MUST email the secretariat at admin@ttcsweb.org within four weeks from the date of this posting (by March 24, 2011).
If there are no other candidates, then the president and secretariat will be considered re-elected to serve another year from April 15th 2011 and the virtual assembly would not be held.
