Will there be a 2019b update soon?
Hi, Since there is now an experimental patch for the 2019a update, will there be a 2019b released soon? What would be the anticipated time frame for the update? Thanks, Patsy

That's just it, the patch is experimental. I think 2019a is reasonably "as close as we can get and have any hope of reliably disseminating in advance". At this point, any further release prior to the time change would be just as speculative. We may well be in "wait and see" territory before an eventual new release might better be able to reflect what actually happened on the ground. -- Tim Parenti

It's a close call. If 2019a is right, of course we're fine as-is. If the development version is right, the spring-forward transition in 2019a is 24 hours too late. I think the development version is more likely to be correct, as it's the best guess of a longtime correspondent on Palestinian time. So I'm mildly inclined to put out 2019b soon (before Friday 00:00 Palestime time, anyway), if only to increase the probability that we don't have to issue a later correction for timestamps that by then will be in the past. I do wish the PA cabinet would put out announcements that specify a time of transition, and that we wouldn't have conflicting news reports about that that time will be.
