This was discussed (by me!) sometime around late March when the change was made; I submitted a patch which was accepted at that time which changed the DST off time to May and the DST on time to August. Ah, I did not join the mailing list until after May 8, 2010 (because of the change). At that time Redhat had just released tzdata-2011g (three days before the change). I have not seen tzdata-2011h (looking for it) Thanks, ========================================================================= Richard Gombert Senior Technical Specialist Manufacturing Systems and Infrastructure 330.796.4036 GTN: 447-4036 Mailing address: PO Box 3531 (200 S Martha Ave) Akron, OH 44309-3531 Shipping address: Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. The August 21 DST transition is in tzdata since 2011e, which introduced the following change, among others: America/Santiago Moved CLT (UTC-4, std) from 3rd Apr 2011 03:00:00 to 8th May Moved CLST (UTC-3, dst) from 9th Oct 2011 04:00:00 to 21st Aug PM
