Thanks very much for that Swiss info; it sure is authoritative! We need to correct the zone files accordingly. I like the detail about the Cantone Geneve (Geneva, Genf) between 1848 and 1894; we should put that into a comment. By the way, was Bern Mean Time actually exactly 29 minutes and 44 seconds ahead of GMT? Our only source for that is Shanks.
