If we're voting - I'd vote against forking. And - once again - I have to point out that it's well past time we disassociate zone data from political regions. Seems to me that we have failed at step 1, and that to the extent that there is any community consensus per step 2, it is against this set of changes. I'm not convinced that there is even that much consensus. We're hearing from the objectors, but - as usual - not from those who approve or aren't affected. I'm currently unclear what the issues are, being mostly an observer rather than a significant user of the database.
