Actually, I am not aware of any country that officially recognizes Jerusalem as part of Israel, except for Israel itself. For most countries, including the USA, the status of Jerusalem is on hold pending the completetion of a peace treaty, according to resolutions of the UN. The largest city in recognized Israel is Tel Aviv. On 2013-04-20 11:14, David Braverman wrote:
Oh, brilliant effort! I admire the (dare I? I dare:) chutzpah to approach this topic head-on, which shows a pluck and verve not seen in the time zone community since, well, Astrolabe.
I fear, however, that this level of trolling requires such nuance and skill, not to mention a good bench of sock puppets and an environment full of politically-charged people to rile, that it may not have been quite the right time or the right list. Athletes injure themselves by not taking enough rest after a big match; I would hate to see that happen here.
For the time being, then, let's move on. While I am very much looking forward to the creative efforts we'll no doubt see when we hold the 4th Annual Zoneinfo Trolling Games next year, it's just too soon after the Macquarie Invitational for everyone to be in top form.
