The latest information we received said that the government would always give 2 months notice before DST.
Two months notice would be good. It would mean that Fiji won't start DST before December 14.
I am not sure they have, since DST was re-introduced in 2009.
Here are the notices of the past four years or so: 2010-10-13, 9 days notice: http://www.fiji.gov.fj/Media-Center/Press-Releases/Daylight-savings-on-horiz... 2011-02-25, 9 days notice: http://www.fiji.gov.fj/Media-Center/Press-Releases/Daylight-savings-ends-on-... 2011-10-03, 20 days notice: http://www.fiji.gov.fj/Media-Center/Press-Releases/Daylight-saving-starts-Oc... 2012-08-27, 55 days notice: http://www.fiji.gov.fj/Media-Center/Press-Releases/DAYLIGHT-SAVING-STARTS-ON... 2013-08-30, 59 days notice: http://www.fiji.gov.fj/Media-Center/Press-Releases/DAYLIGHT-SAVING-STARTS-ON... Although they've done better since 2012, it's a bit of an exaggeration to say that they always give two months notice.
