Hi, I think trying to think about a better system for maintaining the database and updates is a step in wrong direction. The current arrangement has not been planned or voted for but it has survived as the only viable one while corporations, governments, projects and organizations have tried to do the same. Let's not waste time trying to come up with something else, let's use it to find something exactly the same.
