I propose we change all tz identifiers to randomly generated characters to ensure no UI designer considers showing them to end users.
I've already made similar suggestions; that would get rid of the "why isn't it Asia/Beijing"? complaints, and would also mean I wouldn't get shown "America/Los_Angeles" as the appropriate choice even though I'm about 500 km from there.
