Date: 15 Aug 96 22:54:05 EDT From: Chris Carrier <72157.3334@CompuServe.COM> Did anyone get a response from anyone in Sri Lanka concerning the daylight- time situation? No, but I did some more research, and found a report in a local paper. <URL:http://www.virtual-pc.com/lankaweb/news/items/240596-2.html> (1996-05-24) reported ``the country's standard time will be put forward by one hour at midnight Friday (1830 GMT) `in the light of the present power crisis'.'' I'll submit this change as part of my next proposed patch. I'll be proposing `LKT' for the new time zone abbreviation; this is the ISO 3166 country code plus `T'.
