It sounds like something on 'The Outer Limits'. Are its episodes on IMDb? On 2017-11-06 17:32, Clive D.W. Feather wrote:
This is a bit vague, but I've suddenly remembered a film I saw on TV back in the 1970s that's time-related. Unfortunately I can't recall the title nor can I find it on IMDB, but perhaps someone here can.
The premise is a man travelling on a ship from Europe to America. Most of the time he's either unlucky, ignored by the girl, looked down on by his fellow passengers, and so on. But, each night, the ship's clocks are stopped [1] for an hour at midnight to adjust ship's time to the local timezone which, of course, is falling behind bit by bit. During that hour he's incredibly lucky: he wins lots at the ship's casino, the girl falls for him, and so on. But as soon as the clocks restart the luck deserts him again.
That's all I can remember, but perhaps it might jog some memories.
[1] I can distinctly remember that the analogue clocks had a lit face. As they reach midnight the second hand stops and the light goes out. An hour later the light comes back on and the second hand starts moving again.
