The meeting of the remote hub for the ICANN meeting, and in particular the LAC Space at the Central University Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA), in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, could not be carried out because the university was the subject of a raid to end of a rally; people who was in college had to flee the site. The raid was news here during the day; the impact on the hub met him later.

Dear Raitme, I'm sorry to hear of the issue. I hope that your participants are all safe. I'm not sure to what level you are able to continue the hub activity but having the remote hub is noble and often it is better to be able to accommodate several eyes, ears and voices in your country in the ICANN process than to send a traveller to the meeting. I applaud your service to your community and ICANN as well as your courage under difficult circumstances. me he estado enterando durante el día de lo siguiente, a reserva de lo que otros/as sepan:
la sesión del hub remoto para la reunión de ICANN, y en particular el LAC Space, en la Universidad Central Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA), en Barquisimeto, Venezuela, no se pudo llevar a cabo debido a que la universidad fue objeto de un allanamiento al final de una manifestación; la gente que estaba en la Universidad tuvo que huir del sitio. El allanamiento fue noticia aquí durante el día; el impacto sobre el hub lo conocí más tarde.

La sesión contaba con 30 participantes convocados por Raitme Citterio, miembro de ISOC Venezuela, ALS miembro de LACRALO, que no cuenta con apoyo económico para asistir a las reuniones de ICANN.
Hago una moción de reconocimiento y apoyo a Raitme y su esfuerzo. Ojalá podamos sumarnos para fortalecer esta actividad que realiza por el beneficio de la comunidad. Es lamentable que se vea interrumpido y que, por estar en una población que nos es lejana, no lo apoyemos debidamente.

We had Harold Arcos( LARALO ALAC Member) provide a special update to the NARALO membership at our monthly meeting. We provide a solidarity to our LACRALO membership in helping engage the community. I'm sorry to hear of the issue. I hope that your participants are all safe.
I'm not sure to what level you are able to continue the hub activity but having the remote hub is noble and often it is better to be able to accommodate several eyes, ears and voices in your country in the ICANN process than to send a traveller to the meeting.
I applaud your service to your community and ICANN as well as your courage under difficult circumstances. I hope that your audience appreciate the Internet Governance area and will return to participate another day.
