Dear All,

On behalf of the ALAC, Alan Greenberg have developed the first draft
Statement in response to the Public Comment on Cross Community Working
Group on Enhancing ICANN Accountability 2nd Draft Report (Work Stream 1)
<https://community.icann.org/x/a45CAw>. The draft, as well as pertinent
resources for the Public Comment, can be found in its wiki workspace here:
https://community.icann.org/x/a45CAw. All At-Large members are welcome to
comment on this draft.

Please take a moment to review this draft and if you have input, please
submit it in the wiki workspace using the comment function *by Thursday 3
September.* You will need to log in to the wiki to use the comment
function. If you don’t have a login or have other issue using the wiki,
kindly contact staff@atlarge.icann.org.

Inputs submitted in this mailing list will be transferred to the wiki
workspace for the penholder(s) to keep track of the community comment and
take them into consideration when finalizing the draft.

Please note that this draft Statement was discussed during the IANA Issues
& ICANN Accountability Working Group teleconference today (August 18, 2015)
<https://community.icann.org/x/hJZCAw>. You may find the recordings of that
teleconference on the wiki here: https://community.icann.org/x/hJZCAw. This
draft Statement will also be discussed during the planned At-Large
webinars/briefings on the IANA stewardship transition and ICANN
Accountability issues (participation information will be announced later).
