Dear Jacqueline, I always like your statement about technology. I respect you. Of course I feel the need to clarify my position and hope I were able to do with my last email to the list. I was not talking about the ALAC decision but the LACRALO poll.. I hope to be able to represent LACRALO in the nomcom if ALAC consider my name and if the ALAC decision is for another choice I'm going to strongly support it.
From several years ago, I was working on citizen participation processes and certainly know that I can do very well.. That's why I accept to participate in the poll for LACRALO to recommend a person to ALAC even knowing that bylaws make it a simple advice.
To my friends and colleagues sorry to fill your inbox with emails about this! Now is time to wait ALAC decision! Wish you all the best as always! It wasn't about the NomCom poll. Hard to tell, though, given the lack of subject lines in the emails recently. With regard to the poll, as someone who has offered myself for the NomCom position, I am staying out of any discussion on the poll. I've been duly nominated, accepted the nomination, and submitted my SoI to the LACRALO Secretariat and to ALAC. I now await the decision of ALAC. That's my only statement on this issue. Hope this clarifies. Jacqueline A. Morris Technology should be like oxygen: Ubiquitous, Necessary, Invisible and Free. Jackqueline I'm sure you are not behind this.. My position is: if somebody thinks this is the way you can get more votes, I can change mine and give you the position.. this is not the way to participate.. I don want to work for a group where people use this kind of tricks in order to gain some more ballots...
Of course, I repeat, I'm sure this is not your position.
