Buenas tardes: Comienza el plazo para la votación sobre dotASIA. Abajo un resumen de la propuesta para su consideracion y comentarios a favor o encontra de la misma. Saludos, Natalia *RESUMEN:* DotAsia propone una enmienda a su acuerdo del 2006 ( http://www.icann.org/en/tlds/agreements/asia/) para permitir la introducción de 1 y 2 caracteres en los dominios de dotASIA en el mercado. El Appendix 6 redlined draft<http://www.icann.org/en/tlds/agreements/asia/appendix-6-redline-04nov11-en.…>detalla la lista de segundo nivel de .ASIA que fueron reservados para su registración (de 1 y 2 caracteres, los de 2 pueden ser liberados mediante acuerdo con el gerente del código país o la agencia ISO 3166, para evitar confusión con los mismos). El RSEP http://www.icann.org/en/registries/rsep/dotasia-request-09aug11-en.pdf establece el servicio técnico propuesto (phased allocation program). El 10 de mayo de 2010, ALAC emitió el ALAC Statement on IDN Issues<http://www.atlarge.icann.org/correspondence/statement-idn-issues-05may10-en…>, donde se expresa la creencia en que cada cultura y lenguaje es único y que IDN es una materia compleja que varia de lenguaje en lenguaje y de cultura en cultura. Buenos días! Reenvío la solicitud de comentarios sobre las regiones geograficas. En resumen lo que dice el borrador de declaración de ALAC, es lo siguiente: "El informe no cumple con la diversidad y no asegura mas representacion internacional. El modelo utilizado (RIRs) fue construido basado en consideraciones tecnicas y no tuvo en cuenta la diversidad. No puede ser el modelo correcto para ICANN. Si el marco actual no es perfecto el propuesto no es mejor aun por las siguientes razones: 1. No cumple con lo solicitado para lo cual la revision fue iniciada. 2. Remueve pises de sus territorios originales y de donde pertenecen a diferenes regiones, lejos de sus tierras, con idioma diferente y cultura, y un nivel diferente de penetracion de internet. (Ej: Yemen desde Asia hacia Europa) 3. Los países arabes-asiaticos, Iran y Turquia no tendran casi oportunidad ya que les tocará competir con paises prestigiosos de Europa con un nivel alto de competencia. 4. Crea tension politica ya que remueve a las Islas Malvinas (Falkland island) desde Europa hacia Latino America y el Caribe. Hay grandes anomalias y no se mencionan cuales son. Creemos que esto traerá mayores problemas a nivel de represetnación y a nivel político. No cumplirá con el requisito de diversidad para lo cual las regiones geográficas fueron creadas en ICANN. ALAC recomienda: 1. Que se mantenga la division de regiones geograficas actual. 2. Se debe permitir que cualquier país solicite el cambio de su region actual. 3. Estimados compañeros: El día de mañana no podre asistir a la teleconferencia, la razón de ello es que a la misma hora en que se realiza nuestra reunión se realiza el acto de cierre de los cursos de alfabetización digital que organiza internauta junto a la CTA en la ciudad de Mar del Plata y debo de estar presente en esta actividad, no obstante intentare enviar mi opinión por acá sobre algunos temas que entiendo son prioritarios por caso el de regiones geográficas. Supongo que los otros temas que se tratan sobre el showcase podre vertir mi opinión luego de escuchar las grabaciones.
