Hello Everyone, I tuned Russian translation (to be more polite and to contain words currently used in the local community). We do need to include URL to the short document which says what to do (and not a page with not so useful for simple guys GNSO language) The letter is going to be sent to administrators, if they do not see simple page with - what is wrong - what to do -where to check that it is not a fake letter e.t.c !!! preferrably, included URLs should be in the same language as we see in the letter ( in the current situation administrators might not be good in reading long english documents) P.s: I have experience with big Russian hoster and small ISP provider service desks (as the English speaking person for b2b and compliance issues for them in cases which they do not know how to resolve)... It is only used for addressing the failure of signing up for accounts or otherwise accepting an email address using a new TLD. It was also specifically created to be very short to ensure it is read at a glance and gets addressed. Long text is easy to pass by and just read later. We want the recipient to generally understand the issue and be sure it is sent to the appropriate developer / product manager. All, I started out looking at the text from Chris and immediately started to make it more “technically accurate.” What I found myself doing was making it longer, more arcane, and, while maybe more “accurate,” it was becoming all of the things Chris said he was trying to avoid. Ultimately I saw the beauty in the simplicity of what was there and left it. Just informing various relevant mailing lists that my initial request for SSAC membership required: "The members are recognized experts in the domain name, addressing, and/or security areas." So, as it is a requirement to apply for SSAC membership, I am hereby recognizing myself as an expert in all of those areas, and invite others to do the same if they can lend their support, although the SSAC document does not specify how many people or organizations must recognize a person as such an expert, so it is not a requirement for me to build such a coalition of supporters to further recognize my self-recognized expertise. Don, I made a few suggestions. Being assertive is in our interest overall and instills confidence in the topic IMHO. I wonder if we should also try and template a vendor > customer letter? I expect that we'll be in a position (as will others) to use our relationships to support directly and being on the same page seems important for this. When I sent out letters to administrators so far, in most cases I added short paragraphs about ICANN and my organization. From my experience, there are many people who know ICANN as a name, but are not always aware what it is about. If you agree, I can add those paragraphs to the document.
