launching a .Brand document

At UASG workshop today, we pondered whether a generic document with similar content, but focused on UA-compliance and stripped of anything specific to any particular services provider, might be valuable for outreach. I didn't download it yet. I am generally reluctant to hand over my personal contact details in exchange for the right to read someone else's advertising. So I might be short-selling it. I note that .yandex is also a domain - but as far as I know they didn't take .яндекс... I find anonymised versions of a business case lose a lot of ability to convince. The costs and benefits to a significant extent depend on specifics of a case. So I would prefer to see either real cases with names, or very simple explanations of the benefits that others have found, which enable the audience to work out which are relevant to them - and recognise taht not all motives will matter to everyone (whether they should or not). I note that most of my experience in this sort of thing comes from areas like accessibility, or genereal "you should work in and with standards" rather than being EAI-related. Looking at the Index it seems like a check list of steps that we had given the folks in our legal department when they started talking about doing a .Brand. They were like "All this?" so it was good to set proper expectations. yes, the index (which I think you could copy easily) would be a nice starting point.
