Dear UASG members, Over the past few months, each of the UASG working groups has developed a work plan for the next year. Input from each working group was collated and reviewed by the UASG Leadership team to develop a Draft FY23 Action Plan, which incrementally builds on FY22 Action Plan. Hello all, Testing and measurment of UA penetraion let us know how IDN and EAI are supported in Internet ecosystem. Outreaching and action to improve the UA penetraion is our UASG's aim. I'd like to see some activities/action plan for outreaching email service providers/open source managers/code library maintainers to support EAI and IDN. I have not see some actions or outreach plan in the Current plan. Can someone kindly list them? Hi Jiankang, Thank you for your input. Your input is noted and will be shared with the leadership time for further consideration. To add a few more details, UASG has already started some UA remediation work, where now the bug-reports are being filed as part of the gap analysis studies. UA remediation activities planned for FY23 include T3, T6, E4.1, E4.1 and E5. ICANN has also announced a position for UA Technical Manager, who will focus on this UA remediation and training work once onboard. I will replicate below the feedback I sent via the form: It’s important to highlight the role of UASG040 in tying together several objectives of the proposed initiatives. Tech WG Objectives T5 and T7 can find key insights in that document. The same applies to Measurement WG Objectives M3 and M5. It can also serve as support for Comms WG outreach and content generation. Therefore, a broader community evaluation of the tasks suggested in UASG040 could be of benefit to the UASG project as a whole. Tasks such as intensified outreach to the WHATWG/W3C over the question of validation in HTML5, as well as reaching out to the Python Software Foundation for better implementation of idna, are examples of actions that could generate net positive impact. On a different subject, it would also be imperative for the Comms WG to have a second look at its budget. It the group with the most tasks, but conversely the one with the lowest projected budget. With an attention towards making sure that it will be able to fulfil its goals, more funds should probably be allocated to its tasks.
