During discussions at the ICANN Marrakech meeting, several people expressed frustration with the level of detail on the UA-Discuss list. (There was one particular subscriber that was referenced several times).

For those who want to keep up with UA but not at the detail in the UA-Discuss list, we’ve created a new mailing list - UA-Announce.

The plan is to use this list to Announce things from time to time. Upcoming meetings and agendas as well as the associated notes, Help Wanted notices, releases of documents, newsletters and such. It is not expected to be a discussion list and the content will be a subset of the UA-Discuss list.
