You may not be aware, Jeff, but you are not only an observer, but rather a voting member of the group by default. That puts you in the position of being directly involved in the policy generation and outcomes of the UASG, whether you are actively pursuing that or not. Think of the UASG as one huge ICANN Working Group for practical purposes (I am not saying it is one, but I am saying in practice that's the closest comparison). Therefore, mailing list participants need to have a SOI.

FYI, the GNSO requires SOIs only from those that participate in a working group and not those (like me) that merely observe the mailing list.  If I want to be an active participant then I should have to submit an SOI.  And that SOI should be the same as the SOIs for all other working groups.   I have no issue with submitting as SOI, but shouldn't I just have to give you the link to where it already is?  I don't want to have to update multiple SOIs every time something changes.
