Since its first presentation to the GAC in Dublin,
the UASG has continued to deliver on its core mission of providing good content
and raising awareness.
Universal Acceptance is the idea that all domain
names and email addresses work in all systems. With the
introduction of IDNccTLDs in 2010 and the greater expansion in new gTLDs in
2013, many applications have not kept up to date and need updating.
In this session, the UASG (Universal Acceptance
Steering Group) will update the GAC with its activities and provide suggestions
of how governments can engage their own departments as well as their local
software community to make their system UA Ready.
