Dear all,

By knowing some of the new vice chairs, I can say to them congrats, well deserved.
But I also see some really fresh new names, without prior history in UASG, not knowing who they are and what is really behind voting for them - what was the reasoning of voters.

Anyhow, it will be very interesting to observe the moves of leadership in next two years.

Dear Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) Community,

 

On behalf of the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG), we are pleased to announce the results of the 2023 UASG vice-chair election. As the UASG charter indicates, the UASG will be “overseen by one Chair and two to three Vice-Chairs who will be appointed to two-year terms.” 

 

Interested candidates for the Vice-Chair positions were asked to submit self-nominations and Statements of Interest (SOI) by 31 March 2023 through the announcement. The UASG received five nominations for Vice-Chair. Based on the nominations and the following elections, following are the election results.

 

UASG Vice-Chairs for 2023-2025 (two years)

 

A total of 237 UASG members cast their vote. Based on these votes, the following have been elected:

 

  • Haixin Duan
  • Nabil Benamar
  • Nitin Walia

 

The SOIs of these elected members are attached.  We congratulate the new UASG Leadership team.
