Hello Mr. Anil Kumar Jain,

Warm greetings.

As a long-standing and committed participant in the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) community, I would like to respectfully bring your attention to several matters of importance that have been pending resolution or communication. These points have been raised previously by members of the community and continue to require clarification:

  1. Governance Commitments:
More than one year has passed since commitments were made to respond to community concerns regarding UASG governance. Unfortunately, no formal update has been provided. May I kindly ask when the community can expect a response on these matters?

  2. UASG Five-Year Strategic Plan:
The draft of the five-year plan was presented some time ago, yet its final version has not been released. We seek clarity on its status and when it will be made available to the wider community.

  3. Working Group Leadership Appointments:
It was understood that the appointments of WG chairs and vice chairs would be for limited terms. However, under your leadership, no changes have taken place in over two years, despite repeated and strong community objections. There has been concern regarding the concentration of roles, with individuals holding multiple positions and occupying leadership posts for extended periods. A transparent process for leadership rotation is not only overdue but necessary to ensure inclusiveness and fresh momentum.

  4. Status of Working Groups:
Kindly share a current list of active working groups within the UASG. It would be helpful to know which groups are still functional and which, if any, have been retired or consolidated.

  5. Upcoming UASG Leadership Elections:
As the current two-year term approaches its conclusion, there has been no announcement regarding the election process, call for nominations, or a timeline. This delay is creating uncertainty and concern within the community. Timely initiation of the election process is essential to uphold transparency and community trust.

  6. UA Ambassadors – Renewal and Rotation:
The term for UA Ambassadors is generally one year. We kindly request information on when new appointments will be made, as well as whether there is a process in place to bring in new contributors and rotate out individuals who have not been actively engaged.

Mr. Jain, as someone deeply committed to the vision of Universal Acceptance, I urge you to provide an update to the community on these matters at the earliest opportunity. Transparent communication will help strengthen the confidence and collaboration within the UASG and its broader ecosystem.

With kind regards,

Maxim Skvortsova
