Newly proposed 10 time zones in Russia - draft Federal Law 431985-6
Below is information concerning a DRAFT amendment (Russian Federal Law N 431985-6) "On the calculation of time" which was recently introduced to Russian State Duma on January 20, 2014. Original Draft Federal Law document as PDF at the Russian State Duma web site: (in Russian) http://asozd2.duma.gov.ru/main.nsf/%28SpravkaNew%29?OpenAgent&RN=431985-6&02 or our link (in Russian) at http://www.worldtimezone.com/dst_news/dst_news_russia59.html An English translation of the newly proposed 10 time zones in Russia and corresponding areas/cities/administrative centers in the Russian Federation defined in the table (translated and compiled by WorldTimeZone) at link: http://www.worldtimezone.com/dst_news/dst_news_russia60.html The new proposal 431985-6 suggests moving the clock back one (1) hour for almost all regions (including Moscow). In some regions (Chita, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Sakha-Yakutia, Omsk, Birobidzhan, Orenburg, Perm, Ufa) the suggestion to turn clocks by two (2) hours back (-2 hours) would therefore force those regions to potentially change their time zones. If approved, the new bill would take effect on October 26, 2014. Alexander Krivenyshev http://www.WorldTimeZone.com
