My concern is having a correct as possible tzdb. If my concerns will be marginalized, it would be "marginalizing" the goal of having bugs fixed. I never have respect towards bugs, I am happy to make them better visible by posting them on the list. -- Tobias Conradi Rheinsberger Str. 18 10115 Berlin Germany http://tobiasconradi.com/
I never have respect towards bugs,
It's not respect towards bugs what is being asked for, but towards us, the readers, contributors and/or maintainers of the database and its mailing list. And if "us" is too big of a word for you, then have it this way: I feel insulted by the way you treat people on this mailing list, even without having personally replied to one of your remarks before (and certainly won't again in the future). I request you to address the mailing list members with respect. Who am I? A tz database mailing list member. Carlos Raúl Perasso

You just quoted a private personal email to the mailing list. That's a pretty severe etiquette violation. Given that your actions are making people unsubscribe from the list, I would support banning you from posting. You are a net negative contributor at this point. --jhawk@mit.edu John Hawkinson

Given that your actions are making people unsubscribe from the list, Can you provide a list of people that unsubscribed due to my "actions", and specify that actions?
I would support banning you from posting. Is your private view point based on any tz mailing list rule? If so, can you point the readers there?
Or is it only, if a number X of subscribers shout aloud "we don't want contributor C" that then this mob shall be followed?
You are a net negative contributor at this point. Can you show the calculation?
Above you mention that subscribers did unsubscribe due to my actions. What would these people have contributed if they had not unsubscribed? How do you weight that against the bug reports I posted? Did you make such calculations for all contributors or only for me? -- Tobias Conradi Rheinsberger Str. 18 10115 Berlin Germany http://tobiasconradi.com/

I not only second that, I wonder why it has not been done already. People have gone overboard trying to be civil to him and to understand his contributions. He has not reciprocated on any level. It's well past time to remove him from the list. Kevin -- Kevin Lyda Dublin, Ireland US Citizen overseas? We can vote. Register now: http://www.votefromabroad.org/
