Absolutely! It infuriates me that such a result should ever be returned. Any concession to the US-only we'll-do-it-our-way-and-never-change-and-claim-to-be-best-no-matter-how-bad- it-is all-numerical way of writing dates should be eliminated.
Not all of us claim that 12/1/96 is the best way. I would support use of the ISO 8601 format.
Sorry, I generalized unfairly. I guess I went over the top (is that an expression understood in the US?). I applaud your support for ISO 8601 format. - Alex LIVINGSTON
