With the much more prevalent use of flexible working, fixed starting times are less of a problem these days. Around here we have more problems with near accidents due to the sun being in the wrong position and causing bad visibility. Happens again when the pigging hour changes so I'd be quite happy to simply scrap it :) -- Lester Caine - G8HFL ----------------------------- Contact - http://lsces.co.uk/wiki/?page=contact L.S.Caine Electronic Services - http://lsces.co.uk EnquirySolve - http://enquirysolve.com/ Model Engineers Digital Workshop - http://medw.co.uk Rainbow Digital Media - http://rainbowdigitalmedia.co.uk
I'm confused by the arguments for the bill (I haven't seen any against). Eric Jay Toll's article says "One way Arizona can beat the after-dark heat of summer nights is by extending daylight." This sounds completely backwards, as daylight saving time extends the day and makes summer evenings hotter. And Adam Longo's article says that extending DST will let people play more golf, and that it will help them be more productive in business. But these two goals would appear to be diametrically opposite (unless one's business is golfing). Perhaps someone from Arizona could explain what's going on here? Toll EJ.
