Re: [tz] Donetsk and Lugansk Republics (UTC+2) may introduce Moscow time (UTC+3).
It was done in 2014f. ________________________________ From: Alain Petit<mailto:alain.petit@oracle.com> Sent: 10/23/2014 8:00 AM To: tz@iana.org<mailto:tz@iana.org> Subject: Re: [tz] Donetsk and Lugansk Republics (UTC+2) may introduce Moscow time (UTC+3). Hi Regarding this portion from Alexander's mail
Moscow is planning to change its time zone from current UTC+4 UTC+back to UTC+3
Is this change part of 2014i that was announced yesterday? It seems to apply this week-end, and I did not see it in the notes. -alain -----Original Message----- From: Paul Eggert [mailto:eggert@cs.ucla.edu] Sent: Wednesday, October 22, 2014 12:15 AM To: Alexander Krivenyshev; tz@iana.org Subject: Re: [tz] Donetsk and Lugansk Republics (UTC+2) may introduce Moscow time (UTC+3). Given the fluidity of the situation and the difficulty of keeping up with what is actually happening on the ground, it may be better for those who prefer Moscow time to use TZ='Europe/Moscow'. That would resemble what has been done with Transnistria, which has worked reasonably well.
