White House petitioned to end DST
An electronic petition to "Eliminate the bi-annual time change caused by Daylight Savings [sic] Time" appears at... https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/eliminate-bi-annual-time-change-ca... ...and as of this writing has about 6,000 of the 100,000 electronic signatures required for an official White House response. @dashdashado

It will be interesting to see if it gets more support than the regular calls for banning DST in the UK. The Scots are particularly vociferous in their objection to it being dark until 10am :) jch

Personally I find this one more amusing https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/change-national-anthem-r-kellys-20... Todd Glassey
The whitehouse.gov petition to eliminate DST "has expired, because it failed to meet the signature threshold," having garnered roughly 32,000 electronic signatures by today (the closing date). The expiration means the White House is not required to reply to the petition. @dashdashado On Thu, Mar 7, 2013 at 6:11 PM, Arthur David Olson < arthurdavidolson@gmail.com> wrote:
