Thanks, I believe that's the same as before, so the Time Zone Database should be OK and should not need changes now.

Hallo, From one of our contacts in Brazil I got the question what needs to be done to adopt new Brazilian Summer time. I received this info: There is a possibility the summertime will return in Brazil. If this happens ( it’s currently being discussed on governmental levels ) it will be by the end of October. With these links: https://www.gov.br/mme/pt-br/assuntos/noticias/ons-divulga-estudo-que-avalia... https://www.gov.br/mme/pt-br/assuntos/noticias/alexandre-silveira-diz-que-ho... Apparently the current expectation is that the final decision will be made this week. I explained that we use the timezone files from iana, so if this is decided these files needs to be changed before we can adopt them. Have not seen anything about this possibility yet, so I wanted to inform you about this discussion. Regards, R.J.Rens

Thanks, please let us know if these plans become more definite. If Brazil changes its clocks this month they're not giving us much notice; likely many cell phones and computers won't be updated in time. I wrote about this to the mailing list a couple of weeks ago, here: https://lists.iana.org/hyperkitty/list/tz@iana.org/message/I6IATGOFY26I23JUR...
