The change is already applied within master. With Java Time Zone Updat Tool 2.0 you can create your own tzdata archive and apply this change. I have done this yesterday as 2015c was not suitable anymore. HowTo for this workaround (until the changed are released): 1. Download latest tzdata file from http://www.iana.org/time-zones 2. Extract to a temp directory 3. Download file africa from https://github.com/eggert/tz and replace it in the extracted files 4. Repack all the files into a file tzdata2015c.patched.tar.gz 5. Create a file containing the sha512 sum (e.g. sha512sum tzdata2015c.patched.tar.gz) and out the checksum into a file called tzdata2015c.patched.tar.gz.sha512 6. Now you can point the Java Time Zone Updater Tool to use this file by using the -l switch and the file protocol (e.g. java -jar tzupdater.jar -l file///path/to/archive/tzdata2015c.patched.tar.gz) Note: While updating it is possible that the update shows dataversion 2015a. Just run the updater again with the -V switch to check if 2015c was applied.
