The file... ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/tzcode2004d.tar.gz ...is now available. This incorporates the (now slightly modified) changes circulated last week on the time zone mailing list to: make zic complain about links to links if the -v flag is used; have "make public" do more code checking; and add an include to "localtime.c" for the benefit of gcc systems. Note that there are no data changes. Expect one more batch of delinting changes for the code. --ado

We have an off-by-one problem here. That file should be tzcode2005d. I see that the problem has also infected the mirror at <http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/timezone/tzcode2004d.tar.gz>: this is now the incorrect version dated 2005, not the original, correct version dated in 2004. <ftp://munnari.oz.au/pub/oldtz/tzcode2004d.tar.gz> is still correct as I write this; I hope it doesn't get munged too.

It won't - now you alerted us all to the problem... There are some advantages to doing things manually! I have renamed the version of the file in ~ftp/pub on munnari from tzcode2004d.tar.gz to tzcode2005d.tar.gz on the assumption that that's what it should really be called (and I have no idea why I didn't notice that when it appeared...) Byt ado - please either do the same (rename the currently available 2004d file to 2005d, or skip 'd' when the next 2005 version does appear). kre
