We need to update the JAVA with the new winter time. Any help?? Regards, Amr.

I've been having Fedora RPMs built for the timezone updates. One of them is tzdata-java, which installs Java ZI files directly in /usr/share/javazi (I think this is different than where TZUpdater puts its updates). Anyone is welcome to try them out, but do so at your own risk--neither I nor my employer take responsibility for them or any problems they may cause. http://software.opensuse.org/search?baseproject=ALL&p=1&q=tzdata-java -- Larry Gilbert <lgilbert@digium.com> Digium | Switchvox

Dear all,

The Java TZupdater appears to just be an archive with a set of timezone files inside. You should be able to unjar, unzip the timezone files, replace the timezone files with updated ones, rezip, rejar. I don't know if the updater performs consistency checks on the files inside. -- Darren
