I am using tzdata 2010o-0lenny1, and the time offset for Western Sahara, should not be WET (+0 hours), but WST (+1 hours). Have you updated this in 2011g-1? I cannot find it in the changelog
Do you have information about this change, including references to official communications? Please Cc the tz list.

Is the local able to confirm that Western Sahara is following Moroccan DST rules?
Clint, Finally found confirmation for the daylight saving time changes in Morocco, and also Egypt: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2543367 http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/10419/Egypt/Politics-/Egypt-can cels-daylight-saving-time.aspx Paul -----Original Message----- From: Clint Adams [mailto:clint@debian.org] Sent: 27 April 2011 22:18 To: paul salber Cc: tz@elsie.nci.nih.gov Subject: Re: bug report for tzdata 2010o-0lenny1 On Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 09:59:22PM +0200, paul salber wrote:

Hi, Paul I'm afraid that doesn't help. The timezone settings for Morocco are correct. The questions are whether or not Western Sahara is observing Moroccan DST rules or something else, and whether or not the zone named El_Aaiun should reflect the time in Moroccan-held al-`ayuun or the time in Western Sahara if those are indeed different. Hopefully your user can shed some light on this.
