The files... ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/tzcode2005j.tar.gz ...and... ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/tzdata2005j.tar.gz ...are now available. These reflect changes to limit the length of time zone abbreviations and the characters used in those abbreviations. There are also changes to handle POSIX-style "quoted" time zone environment variables. The changes were circulated on the time zone mailing list; the only change since then was the removal of a couple of minimum-length of abbreviation checks. --ado
