America/Bahia will not join Brazilian DST in 2012
It's been published in the news that the state of Bahia, Brazil, will not be joining the DST this year. http://www.correio24horas.com.br/noticias/detalhes/detalhes-1/artigo/apos-pr... http://g1.globo.com/bahia/noticia/2012/10/governador-cancela-adesao-da-bahia... http://atarde.uol.com.br/bahia/materias/1459705-bahia-esta-fora-do-horario-d... Since the news came a little late, systems using America/Bahia need to be upgraded ASAP to stay in the correct time after DST starts (Oct 21st, next Sunday). Is it possible to have a new release of tzdata soon so that we can coordinate a quick update? Thanks in advance, -- Antonio Terceiro <terceiro@debian.org>

If this Sunday falls on a | Jewish holiday, DST will be extended until the morning after the holiday. Hence, although the changes are not yet law, they are expected to be so before Februray 2013. I will update the list when the changes become law. Attached are the context diffs of the changes to tzdata2012g. _____________________________________ Ephraim Silverberg, CSE System Group, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel.
