Morocco changes May 27th 2017 instead of May 21th
Morocco is about to switch on May 27th back to UTC from +1. The current release doesn't reflect that (May 21st). Is there any update planned before the actual transition? Many thanks! Martin
Thanks for the heads-up - do you have any references (government publications or web-sites) to document this change? On Mon, 15 May 2017, Info - avisched.com wrote:

That's odd, as Morocco World News (the only English-language source I could easily find) agrees with tzdb and says the transition is 2017-05-21 at 03:00 local time. See: https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2017/05/216339/morocco-to-switch-back-to-gm... What sources are giving May 27 for the transition?

The governments site sais May 21st. http://www.mmsp.gov.ma/ar/actualites.aspx?id=1246 http://www.mmsp.gov.ma/fr/actualites.aspx?id=1247 Andreas -- Andreas Stieger <astieger@suse.com> Project Manager Security SUSE Linux GmbH, GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton, HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg)
DST starting the 21st of May in Morocco is not so strange, Note that the calculated start of the month of Ramadan is on May 27th. They don't change time in this religious month. mmsp.gov.ma (Le Ministère de la Réforme de l'Administration et de la Fonction Publique) is the official government site where announcements like DST change are published. Obviously all the sources having the 27th changed it to 21st the other day. So everything seems to be fine now. Many thanks for checking!
